Zerorez Carpet Cleaning
At Zerorez, we use a 3-step cleaning process that includes the Z-Lifter, Zr Clean™️, and our patented Cleaning Wand. The Z-Lifter is a counter-rotating brush that lifts the carpet fibers and extracts dry particulate from the carpet (aka, those itty bitties that the vacuum cleaner leaves behind).
Next up is the star of the show - our Zr Clean™️ process. During this step, softened water runs through our Zerorez generator that enables us to clean and leave zero residue behind. We use our patented cleaning wand during the final step in the process which has a 180-degree blade inside the mouth that spins water and sucks it back up as it cleans.
Instead of the carpet fibers being flooded, they are rinsed (and the Zr Clean™️ NEVER touches the pad of the carpet). This is what gives you the fastest drying times in the biz.
Traditional Steam Cleaning
Traditional steam cleaning goes back nearly 40 years and is considered the old school way of doing things. It's a process that doesn't actually involve steam but instead relies on high water pressure, high alkaline detergent, and hot water to clean.
"Steam cleaning" forces water, chemicals, and dirt through the base of the carpet, into the pad, and sometimes onto the subfloor. The water and detergent are then vacuumed out of the carpet where only 60 to 80% of the residue is extracted. Typically, the pad and subfloors remain soaked which is what leads to extremely long drying times.
